Chandrababu Naidu calls on KCR, invites him to Amaravati ceremony

The two warring chief ministers of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana met on Sunday for the first time in almost a year despite both states sharing Hyderabad as their common capital.
The half-an-hour meeting happened as Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu went to Telangana CM K Chandrashekar Rao’s house to invite him and his family for the foundation stone laying ceremony for Amaravati, Andhra Pradesh’s new capital, on October 22.
Relations between the two CMs have been acrimonious since the bifurcation of the state, and especially after Telangana TDP MLA A Revanth Reddy was caught by Telangana ACB while allegedly bribing a nominated MLA in the Legislative Council polls early this year. The ACB claimed that the Andhra CM also spoke to the nominated MLA.
Before KCR, Naidu met Governor E S L Narasimhan to invite him. There is no word from the Telangana camp yet on whether Rao would attend the event.
Earlier, YSR Congress Party president Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy refused to attend the ceremony even before an invite was sent to him.
